A bus overturned on the A9, near Aviemore, leaving two occupants requiring medical attention. The accident occurred shortly before 9:40 on Sunday when the vehicle strayed off the road at Granish Junction. Emergency teams swiftly mobilized, including firefighters, ambulances, and police, to manage the situation. The A9 remained closed for approximately two hours before reopening to traffic.
The bus, an electric model operated by the company Ember, was en route from Inverness to Edinburgh. Witnesses captured images of the vehicle partially suspended on a grassy incline alongside the road, with several emergency responders attending to the scene. Ember’s representative stated the collision occurred on 12 April and emphasized gratitude toward the emergency services for their rapid response.
“We would like to express our appreciation to the emergency teams for their support, and we are fully cooperating with the ongoing police investigation,” said a spokesperson for Ember.
