Turkey: School shooting leaves 4 dead
A tragic shooting at a school in Kahramanmaras region left four fatalities, according to local governor Mukerrem Unluer. The incident involved a student who fired randomly, resulting in three student deaths and one teacher. Twenty others were wounded.
“A student came to school with guns that we believe belonged to his father in his backpack. He entered two classrooms and opened fire randomly, causing injuries and deaths,” Unluer told reporters.
The attack on Wednesday followed a similar incident the previous day in Sanliurfa province, where a former student opened fire at a high school, injuring 16 individuals before taking his own life. The motive behind Tuesday’s shooting remains under investigation.
