Madonna joins Sabrina Carpenter to surprise Coachella

Madonna Unveils New Album With Surprise Performance at Coachella

During Sabrina Carpenter’s Friday night headlining set at Coachella, the iconic pop star made an unexpected appearance, joining the stage for a series of collaborative tracks. The duo performed “Vogue,” “Like A Prayer,” and a new song from Madonna’s upcoming album, Confessions II. This reunion sparked excitement among fans, who had speculated for days about Madonna’s return to the festival in California’s Colorado desert.

Madonna’s appearance marked a full-circle moment, as she reflected on her 2006 debut at Coachella. That year, she performed “Confessions On A Dance Floor” in the Sahara Tent, a milestone she described as “a thrill for me.” Returning two decades later, she emphasized the significance of the occasion, sharing with the crowd, “You can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later.”

“So it’s a like a full circle moment you know — very meaningful for me,” she added, before shifting to a discussion about the New Moon in Taurus.

The 5ft 4in performer also noted it was her first time sharing the stage with someone shorter than herself, joking, “Thank you for giving me that experience.” The duo’s chemistry shone through as they delivered a high-energy rendition of “I Feel So Free,” a track from her latest album. This collaboration came during Carpenter’s second week as headliner at the event.

Madonna’s history at Coachella includes a memorable moment in 2015 when she guested during Drake’s set and shared a viral kiss with the rapper. The festival, held over two weekends at Indio’s Empire Polo Club since 2002, attracts over 100,000 attendees daily, according to local police. Upcoming headliners include Justin Bieber on Saturday and Colombian pop star Karol G on Sunday.
