Eight more arrests made after London arson attacks
The Metropolitan Police have added eight individuals to their list of detainees following a series of arson incidents across London. Seven of these arrests are linked to a suspected plot aimed at further attacks targeting the Jewish community, though the precise location remains unidentified.
Officers from the Counter Terrorism Policing unit in London apprehended three men aged 24, 25, and 26 in Harpenden on Sunday. They were detained and later released on police bail. On Monday, a separate arrest occurred in Stevenage, involving a 25-year-old man. Meanwhile, in Birmingham, a 26-year-old man and two women, 50 and 59 years old, were taken into custody during a car stop.
A 39-year-old man was also detained in Ealing on Tuesday under the Terrorism Act. This action followed the discovery of jars containing a non-hazardous substance in Kensington Gardens on 17 April. All suspects are currently held at a London police station.
