Prince Louis holiday photo released to mark eighth birthday
A new image of Prince Louis has been shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales to celebrate the young prince’s eighth birthday. The photograph captures him during a family trip to Cornwall, showcasing a relaxed moment amidst the coastal scenery.
Smiling in a blue zip-up jumper, Prince Louis is seen with his arms folded while standing on a boat. The backdrop reveals the sea, adding a serene touch to the snapshot. This candid shot offers a glimpse of the royal family’s personal time away from official duties.
The image was posted on the royal family’s social media platforms by Prince William and Catherine, who captioned it with “Happy birthday, Louis! 8 today!” and a red balloon emoji.
Matt Porteous, the photographer, has previously worked with the royal family on several occasions. He captured behind-the-scenes scenes for Prince Louis’ christening and also documented Prince George’s third and fifth birthdays, as well as the Wales family’s 2022 Christmas card.
Prince Louis, the third child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is the fourth in line to the throne. He follows Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 10. Known for his cheeky behavior, he rarely joins his parents at formal engagements but often appears at notable events like the Trooping the Colour Parade, Easter Sunday, and King Charles’ coronation.
