Agent Begged Epstein to Have Sex with Model, Emails Show
Correspondence Reveals Agent’s Role
Documents released by the US Department of Justice reveal that Ramsey Elkholy, a modelling agent, introduced women as young as 18 to Jeffrey Epstein and encouraged him to pursue sexual relationships with a model he had previously met. Over nearly a decade, Elkholy exchanged hundreds of emails with the financier, discussing potential connections and their sexual inclinations.
Elkholy’s Background and Connections
Elkholy, now a musician and band founder, described himself as an anthropologist in recent interviews. However, during the 2010s, he worked as a model agent, establishing ties with key figures in the fashion industry. The emails, spanning from 2009 to shortly before Epstein’s death in 2019, focus heavily on arranging meetings between models and Epstein’s contacts.
Specific Encounters and Requests
In a 2011 exchange, Elkholy described a woman in her 20s as “desperate for cash,” writing:
“Dear Jeffrey PLEASE just try her in bed.”
He claimed to regret the tone of some emails and his association with Epstein, stating he was unaware of the financier’s abuse of women at the time.
Models as Targets
Elkholy reportedly suggested Epstein meet models through investments in Brazilian fashion ventures. The files indicate he coordinated meetings with Epstein’s industry contacts, including those at Victoria’s Secret and Vera Wang. He also corresponded with Jean-Luc Brunel, a French model agent accused of recruiting girls for Epstein’s exploitation. Brunel died in a Paris prison cell in 2022 under investigation for minor rape and trafficking.
Age and Intentions
Elkholy proposed meeting an 18-year-old Russian college student in 2010, writing:
“I think you will like her.”
Epstein’s assistant responded positively. The agent claimed he introduced the young woman to Epstein with the hope of securing modelling opportunities for her. Other women discussed in the emails were 19 years old, and Elkholy acknowledged Epstein’s preference for younger individuals, noting in one 2009 message:
“I know 23 is on the old side for you.”
Statements and Context
Elkholy told the BBC he had not been part of Epstein’s inner circle and emphasized that the emails reflected his efforts to connect models with the financier. Despite over 2,000 DOJ records linked to his name, he stated the files show he met Epstein only 10–12 times. In a 2009 email, he wrote:
“I don’t need to tell you that I also value your friendship… You’re a solid person Jeffrey and that means the world to me.”
He later described a situation where Epstein responded with “zero” to a request about a woman’s circumstances, followed by a plea to “try her in bed.”
Legacy and Unresolved Issues
The BBC found no references to girls under 18 in Elkholy’s correspondence. Yet, his emails suggest Epstein’s network extended into the modelling world, with models among the estimated 1,000 women and girls abused by the financier, according to FBI reports. Elkholy claimed the emails were sent with the woman’s consent, though the exact nature of his involvement remains under scrutiny.
