Fourteen-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot in Woolwich, Teens Charged with Murder
A 14-year-old boy was killed in Woolwich, southeast London, prompting police to begin a murder inquiry. The shooting occurred around 15:40 BST on Thursday, 2 April, on Lord Warwick Street. Paramedics attended the scene but could not save the boy, who died before reaching a hospital. His family has been notified by the Metropolitan Police.
Three Individuals Arrested in Connection with the Shooting
Authorities have detained two male suspects, aged 14 and 16, along with an 18-year-old man, for questioning regarding the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, leading the investigation, urged locals present at the time to share any information or footage, including CCTV and dashcam recordings.
“The victim’s family and loved ones are in our thoughts,” she said. “The community is concerned about the impact of this incident, and we’ve already arrested three individuals, with the investigation ongoing.”
