CPS giving ‘investigative advice’ to police over Andrew and Mandelson probes
CPS Offering Preliminary Guidance to Police in Epstein Investigations
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is offering preliminary guidance to police departments as they examine connections between Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Lord Peter Mandelson to Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted sex offender. A CPS representative stated:
“We are currently providing early investigative input to the Metropolitan Police Service concerning their probe into a 72-year-old man. Additionally, we are sharing similar guidance with Thames Valley Police regarding a 66-year-old individual.”
Both Mountbatten-Windsor and Mandelson have been separately detained on suspicion of public office misconduct tied to Epstein. They were later released as investigations proceed. Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any involvement in wrongdoing related to Epstein, while Mandelson has emphasized his belief in innocence throughout the process.
