Fourth suspect arrested over Jewish charity ambulance arson attack
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed the arrest of a fourth individual linked to the recent arson incident targeting ambulances owned by a Jewish charity in north London. The suspect was detained at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning, as reported by officials. A man was spotted exiting the courthouse accompanied by law enforcement, though details about his identity were not immediately disclosed.
Three others already charged in the case appeared before the court earlier that day and were granted custody until further proceedings. Among them are Hamza Iqbal, 20, and Rehan Khan, 19, both British nationals, alongside a 17-year-old boy holding dual British-Pakistani citizenship. All three face charges of arson with intent to damage property and acting recklessly in a manner that could endanger lives.
“There is substantial evidence indicating the attack was a premeditated and targeted assault on the Jewish community,” stated the court during its session.
Previously, two men—aged 45 and 47—were apprehended in connection with the incident and released on bail pending a decision in late April. The ongoing investigation seeks to establish the full scope of the perpetrators’ motives and actions.
