Skydiver’s death at aerodrome under investigation

Emergency responders were dispatched to Headcorn Aerodrome in Ashford after a report of a parachutist’s body being discovered at 10:00 BST on Monday. Kent Police confirmed the identity of the deceased as a man in his 50s, whose family has been notified.

The incident is now being examined by authorities, with the death classified as unexplained. British Skydiving is conducting an inquiry into the event at the airfield, and its findings will be shared with relevant agencies, including the coroner.

Kent Police said the death was being treated as unexplained and an investigation was under way in liaison with the regulator.
