Incident in southeast London leaves one dead
Giorgio Pin, 62, faces murder charges after allegedly stabbing his mother, Doris Innes, 84, during an attack outside her residence in Plumstead. The Met Police confirmed the incident occurred on Wednesday, with the victim found injured at her home on Red Lion Place. Emergency services transported her to hospital, where she later succumbed to her wounds.
Authorities received reports of a man wielding a knife at approximately 09:00 BST. Pin was apprehended 20 minutes later and is now charged with murder and two counts of attempted assault. A second individual was also threatened during the altercation but escaped harm. The defendant is scheduled to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
