“A special operation to capture the attacker, currently inside a supermarket, is underway. Initial reports suggest gunfire is still audible within the building,” said Kyiv’s Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
Authorities confirmed the assailant opened fire during the attack, which resulted in several fatalities and multiple injuries. The mayor emphasized that the operation to secure the suspect is ongoing, with no immediate details on the motive or the number of casualties yet to be finalized.
