School Principal’s Heroic Intervention in Oklahoma Shooting

CCTV footage captured a high school principal confronting an active shooter in Oklahoma. Victor Hawkins, the assailant, entered Pauls Valley High School on 7 April and began firing. Principal Kirk Moore charged toward Hawkins, successfully disarming him before another staff member intervened. Moore sustained a leg injury during the exchange but has since recovered from hospital. Hawkins was apprehended on-site and now faces multiple charges, including unlawful firearm possession and attempted murder.

Astronauts Break Lunar Distance Record on Artemis II Mission

The Artemis II crew set a new benchmark for Earth-Moon distance during their 10-day orbital journey. Four astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft traveled farther than any humans in history, surpassing the Apollo 13 record of 248,655 miles (400,171km). The crew, who are on the third day of their lunar far side expedition, will not land on the Moon this time but remain focused on future lunar touchdowns planned for 2028.
