Two Arrested Over Kenton Synagogue Attack
The Metropolitan Police confirmed the arrest of a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man in connection with an arson incident at Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow, northwest London, on Sunday. The attack involved a man lighting a bag near the synagogue’s entrance, which was later found to contain three bottles filled with flammable liquid.
While the shopfront sustained minor damage, no injuries were reported. The incident is part of a broader series of six targeted attacks on Jewish-associated premises across the city, with authorities stating 15 individuals have been detained in relation to these events in recent weeks.
Speaking to the BBC on Monday, Met Police Deputy Commissioner Matt Jukes highlighted the ongoing investigation into the attacks, noting that further details would be released as the case develops.
