Record number of immigrants reside in EU in 2025

EU’s Foreign-Born Population Surpasses 64 Million in 2025

A recent analysis reveals that the number of immigrants residing in the European Union hit 64.2 million in 2025, marking a new high. This figure reflects an increase of approximately 2.1 million from the previous year, 2024, as reported by the Centre for Research and Analysis on Migration at RFBerlin.

The report utilizes data from Eurostat and the UN Refugee Agency, highlighting trends in migration across the bloc. While Germany continues to hold the title of the EU’s largest host country, its immigrant population grew from 10 million in 2010 to nearly 18 million in 2025, a rise of about 70%.
